This rare Swedish wedding clock, also called ‘Angermanlands brud’ clock is a typical piece that was created for a wedding back in time
All features, like the headpiece of the clock that reminds of traditional costume that the bride was wearing back in time during the wedding
The large headpiece with weath and seeds decorated, also the hairdo of the bride is referred to the clock case design with the braids on each side of the clock
These clock where made on request by the local clock maker and clockcase maker back in time as the craftsmen where always specialized in or the clockwork or the clockcase
Lots of carved wooden elements to this beautiful clock, original class to the top and belly of the clock
A rare feature is the handpainted wooden clock dial, normally they where created in iron
This clock is complete with its parts, pendulum and weights and sold as a historical decorative piece, not function tested
Dating back to the early 1800’s this Swedish wedding clock is in excellent condition
