Maison Jansen table lamp
This Maison Jansen palm tree table lamp is just the piece of vintage Hollywood glam that gives any room a luxurious decor
Many different lamps were made: palm trees, reeds, flowers, pineapples… Some lamps were made in bamboo and brass
Maison Jansen was a furniture maker and interior designer, not a lamp manufacturer but they did sell lamps made by others that matched their interior decor
These palm lamps are often attributed to the famous Maison Jansen company, but there were several artists and companies in the 1960s and mostly in the 1970s who created similar lamps. To name a few: Christian Techoueyres and Glensar, both companies from France, some of them are signed, most are not
Maison Jansen or House of Jansen, was a Paris-based interior decoration company founded in 1880 by Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen
It was located at 23, rue de l’Annonciation, Paris. Today the house is the Maison Jansen museum and it also promotes contemporary artists
