A high quality carved and polychrome painted Napolitan child statue

Very realisticly carved, the proportions of the body and very fine detailed hands face and feet makes it look vert realistic

A beautiful serene looking face, with glass inlayed eyes

A veil made of paper maché or fabric is ones added to this statue a long time ago, I didn’t wanted to have it removed because its part of a time when the taste of people was different and they wanted to have things more covered 😉

Overall this statue is in excellent condition, some losses to the painted surface and with a lovely timeworn patina
